DIY: pumpkin planters

Here's another fast & fun DIY that could dress up your Thanksgiving table or your front door!

Here's what you need to do:
1. Carve out a circle in the top of your pumpkin. The size of the circle will depend on how many flowers you'd like to put inside of it.
2. Clean and rinse out the inside of the pumpkin.
3. If you intend to use these planters outside, add a few holes in the bottom of the pumpkin for drainage when you water the flowers.
4. Just keep your flowers inside the plastic planter they came in, and nestle them inside the pumpkin. Alternately, you could use a glass or small vase with water and flowers inside of it.
The moisture inside of the pumpkin will help to keep the flowers looking fresh.
My pumpkin cachepots are currently in front of my door, but I love the idea of using them as a centerpiece on Thanksgiving day!
